That was not your average week!
I had a lovely call with a friend, Louise, in Zurich, Switzerland. I read Tarot for her in exchange for her feedback on Grieving to Growing. Louise is an avid reader and also has some inside information (with relatives who are established authors). Throughout this call, I realised I definitely needed to call in the expertise of a professional editor. This is a big piece of work (likely 60,000 words), I am a huge bag of emotion, deeply entwined in the story. The story is there, but if I am to do Lou (and myself) justice, I need to invest. Thank you Louise.
So...I re-connected with Donna at KN Literary, someone with whom I had spoken 14 months previously. The conversation was not a coincidence. Through speaking with the lovely Donna, I realised I need a developmental editor. Donna helped me believe that my Grieving to Growing book IS important. People NEED to read this and most of all it will help people. So, it needs to be done properly. Thank you Donna.
And then, Claudine! My neighbour. This needs a blog all of its own, but for now, suffice to say, I shall be amongst a number of gorgeous women supporting the fabulous Claudine Hope as she launches her radio show with Liverpool Live.
The words of Bruce Springsteen just floated through my head. From 'Land of Hope and Dreams'...
"You don't know where you are going now, but you know you won't be back...
Big wheels roll through fields where sunlight streams
Meet me in a land of hope and dreams"
